Synopsis
A pupil is unruly in class. The teacher expels seven boys including the guilty one, who has not owned up nor been denounced by the others.
Kiarostami screens this scene to a group of adults and asks them for their opinions. This is case number 1.
The following case, number 2, shows the expelled students obliged to stand in the corridor for a whole week. One of the boys eventually goes back to class and denounces the guilty one.
Kiarostami then attempts to define the significance of the scene with the same adult interlocutors.
